One Life is a 2023 biographical drama directed by James Hawes, based on the true story of Nicholas Winton, portrayed by Anthony Hopkins. The film chronicles Winton's efforts to rescue hundreds of predominantly Jewish children from Czechoslovakia just before World War II. It alternates between Winton's past as a young broker and his later life reflecting on those he couldn't save.
Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023, it received positive reviews, holding a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is set for release in the U.S. on March 15, 2024.
